Barbara’s Operating System (BOS) v1.0 — Another leader’s guide to run product (teams)

The guide below is a collection of information I have been wanting to put together and write for some time. Over the years, I have documented, learned, adjusted and evolved concepts in several notes, sheets and documents, tips and tricks from other leaders, my observations and learnings (from successes, failures and mistakes). I never had the time to organize them and make them more accessible to others. Finally, I did, so here we go!

I decided to use Github to make sure anybody who wants to follow the evolution of this document can see the changes and comments.

It is by no means complete nor fully presenting how I work, yet it shows concepts, basics, and frameworks of how I like to show up at work, be a leader, a colleague and a manager, and most importantly a human being in a world of others.

Feel free to copy some of the concepts as they might be useful for yourself or your team. I’ve linked a few templates for you to use. In case you want to share your user manual template or alterations or suggestions, feel free to make a pull request.
